Political Healing through Henna

Migrant womXn: cooking and cleaning politics, cultures and arts.

Join us for a henna ceremony: explore how these rituals have been depoliticised and culturally appropriated, what political healing through henna can be, and why this is held as a womxn-to-womxn space.

The ceremony includes trying henna designs and explaining the migratory route of henna in diverse socio-political contexts. We will also provide vegan sweets: "the sweetness of pasta."
