We designed and delivered a training course on Transformative Safeguarding for Anti-Corruption in Veles, Macedonia, as part of the Key Action 2 European programme DigitalVsCorrupt.
As an intersectional-feminist organisation, we lead participatory research grounded in self-agency.
Our approach uses experiential, critical learning and deliberative educational tools to explore transformative safeguarding through an intersectional-feminist lens.
In simple terms, transformative safeguarding for anti-corruption empowers stakeholders to co-design systems that tackle the social norms and power imbalances driving corruption - rather than merely imposing top-down rules.
By addressing root causes like inequality and exclusion, we build transparent, equitable processes that deter corruption at its source.
Alongside this, we cultivate accountable partnerships - recognising both our strengths and the allies we need to build.
Thank you to Research Institute IARB and EPEKA Network for organising this programme and inviting us as experts on transformative safeguarding and its implications for anti-corruption efforts.
Let’s continue to ensure that safeguarding isn’t just a policy, but a shared journey toward justice and integrity.
