The Palestinian Cultural Caravan is coming to Slovenia!

We are excited to announce that the Palestinian Cultural Caravan is finally here, it will take a place throughout August and September 2026, the Palestinian Cultural Caravan will bring together Palestinian cultural workers, artists, chefs, musicians, storytellers, and Slovenian collaborators for a month-long celebration of Palestinian culture and everyday life.

Across Ljubljana and other locations in Slovenia, the Caravan will open spaces for people to experience Palestine beyond the headlines through traditional cuisine, handicraft workshops, exhibitions, music, Dabkeh dance, performing arts, conversations, and storytelling.

The Caravan is organised by Palestinian cultural organisers based in Slovenia, together with local cultural initiatives, organisations, artists, and communities who believe in the power of culture to build bridges, create dialogue, and bring people closer together including Mladi Levi Festival, Center Rog, Slovene Ethnographic Museum (SEM), AKC Metelkova, Gala Hala Metelkova , Zavod Škuc , Grounded festival at Pritličje, PINA Institute, Športno društvo Tabor, Zmaj ma mlade ,Peace walk, and many other partners who are opening spaces for cultural exchange, dialogue, and connection all coordinated by Reka Si, a SWANA diasporic research and arts organisation, the Floating Castle Festival and the Float to Gaza organisers and actively led by Palestinian diasporic cultural organisers based in Slovenia.

This is not only a programme of events, it is a living space where heritage meets creativity, where generations connect, and where cultures come together across borders. Join us as we cook, dance, sing, create, share, listen, and celebrate the richness of Palestinian culture with communities across Slovenia. Keep an eye on our websites and social media to follow our journey for upcoming announcements about participating artists, programme details, locations, and dates.
